Defy Gravity by Caroline Myss Book Review – The Paulymath Show Episode #11
In this episode of The Paulymath Show I review a book called Defy Gravity by Caroline Myss.
The book was sent to me late last year for review by Hay House but I didn’t really get far enough into the book until recently to do a review.
This is one of those books that I couldn’t just pick up and speed-read through in a couple of days. It’s one of those books that I read a few chapters of, then put it down to let the information sink in, and then come back to it a few weeks or even months later to continue.
Here’s the video review:

Hi Paul,
I have a copy of that book on audio CD. I found I like books like that one in an audio format because I listen to 10-15 minutes at a time while driving on errands and can digest the book in small nuggets, much the same as reading 5-6 pages at a time.
Caroline Myss comes across as a pretty cut and dry person and definitely does not mince words. I found the tone of the book almost a bit harsh at first, but what she has to say makes so much sense, it can be hard to argue with it, much as my ego may try at times!
Laura´s last post was… The Luxury of Negativity
I know what you mean. She does not sugar coat things, nor does she “fluff” things up. It’s not a very “light” book but some of the concepts within it are not anything I’ve read before. It takes a while for the Ego to absorb and accept what she says before moving onto the next chapter.
A beautiful album “Stop making Sense’ by the Talking Heads. The title seems to say it all, as well.
Right. You don’t need to know the details of how/precisely why the doctor does what he does, but if you’re sick you’d better go pay him a visit… I’ve had a few people recommend Carolyn Myss. The part between my chin and the top of my head has led me astray more times than I care to count. I feel that if you open your heart (I hate to say “mind”) to the possibilities…and if they won’t kill you…then it’s worth a shot. Sometimes the best (more wonderful than you thought) solution is just a willingness to try the unusual or to listen more to intuition than your thinking mind.
Julie´s last post was… This Is For Me- And Maybe You
Now that’s very interesting. I just wrote in my last article that it is my personal mantra that it doesn’t matter how something works. The only thing that matters to me is that it *does* work. Even if things look really weird and “out there” – if they bring results, then it’s good.
Peter´s last post was… My Main Topics- Personal Development and Intuition
I’ve seen her speak live at a “you can do it” conference and I was very impressed. She’s extremely educated and like you said it takes a while to absorb her teachings.
