Jamie Oliver’s Mission to Save People From Obesity
My wife always loves to watch cooking shows on TV, and one of her favorite shows have been Jamie Oliver’s shows.
Jamie Oliver is a chef who’s on a mission to save people from obesity by bringing back some of the values around food that we’ve lost in the last few generations.
What Jamie shares in this video is incredible.
Sadly, by the time you finish watching this video, four Americans will have died from preventable food-related disease.
Being on my body transformation diet, I know how hard it is to make time to cook healthy foods and exercise, but what this video shows is completely insane in my opinion. I can’t believe the situation in America today is this bad.
It’s definitely a good wake-up call.

It’s really sad, scary and disturbing to see how kids don’t recognize some of the vegetables. But I think it is great what Jamie is doing! Great video clip!
Fighting obesity has always been my mission. Especially with the children. But us ‘little guy’ trainers don’t have the resources like Jamie and other celebs. Good for him. I saw this TED video a while back and it brought tears to my eyes-both of joy that he was doing something, but also of sadness because our society is so sick. I saw the patterns as a young person and changed my habits. I too had a sugar addiction, but I broke it(my book is coming soon!).
I think all celebrities, as well as the industry, and the food companies, should be taxed a certain portion of their income and/or profits or contribute to non profit organizations who are fighting the problem of childhood obesity. If it weren’t for the movies and shows that we watch on TV there would be no advertisements that lure the public into buying this crap.
Just saying, that’s all….

WOW that’s so powerful a definite change in the food system needs to be made.
Food affects so much about us – way we feel, the way we look, our long term health, so it seems strange that so many people eat complete junk. I guess you end up in a vicious cycle where you eat junk food because you feel down from eating so much junk! Someone like Jamie Oliver is needed to break the cycle.

It is very disturbing that too many people in the US have too much crap to eat, and in lots of the world people don’t have enough.
