Hi Paul,

I like the new design. Also, thanks for being honest about the blog earnings.

I'd definitely be interested in your case study, and monthly or bi-monthly updates would probably be best. One can learn a lot from other people's experience, and I am certain there are plenty of people that would benefit from this kind of a case study from you.

Good luck!

@Anna: Hi Anna, the concerns you are referring to with outsourcing - namely (1) is it faster to do it yourself than delegate, and (2) will the person do as good a job as me, are not YOUR concerns but EVERYONE'S concerns. These are the mantras of the sole-entrepreneur!

Here's some answers for you ....

(1) YES! It actually *IS* faster to do it yourself than to delegate.
(2) NO! The person will NOT do as good a job as you.

:)

So, you may be wondering why would anyone ever outsource if these are true, right? Well, the reason is because you can't do everything yourself. So, what you can do to overcome these is #1, build a SYSTEM that not only trains but also automates the delegation process of tasks so that you can delegate faster and more efficiently. It may take 5 hours to create a system that trains someone how to do your Blog posts the way you like them. But then, once that system is created, you just hire an oursourcer, send them through your "Training system" and BAM - out the other end comes someone who knows how to do things the way you like it.

Then you give them a task. If they don't do it as trained, you ask them why, adjust, maybe give them another chance, improve the training system, or just let them go and hire someone else if they are not capable of following instructions.

Secondly, you have to remember that NOBODY is going to do as good a job as you (generally speaking) because NOBODY is going to care about your Blog/Business more than you. IT would be silly to think otherwise. But, with a proper system you can put together processes and systems that allow you to maintain highest quality standards while getting things done.

It's ALL about systemizing first, then automating tasks as much as possible (ie. invest in a $500 software once, instead of even hiring an outsourcer ) and then outsource.

It definitely isn't easy to accomplish all this - but it's worth it. (Kinda like everything else in life :) )

Hi Paul,

Looking forward to seeing your new web design.

Quite a few people I know are hiring personal assistants for tasks like blog post editing, finding stock photos, answering emails, etc.

I wondered whether actually delegating all this stuff takes the same amount of time it would take to do it yourself? That’s always been the thought I’ve had which has stopped me from taking on someone. The other thing that’s stopped me is that you might hire someone who’s not up to scratch. I’d be interested to hear how you get on with that side of things.

For SEO, I use the Scribe plug in to optimize my blog posts. I now get 5% of my blog traffic from one article that didn’t get many hits before, because I use this plug-in.

Really - Paul has put content on here for free. You don't have to pay a cent if you don't want to. No-one does. And if you don't like this blog for whatever reason, why are you still reading?

Hey Paul,

Some people are great examples of limiting beliefs. I use to be suspicious of anyone who wanted to make money. Then I realized how I was influenced by "deficiency motivation". I felt that I would always be a poor person and that I should act like one. But the truth is, money is just another physical object. It's not a concept, it's not a genetic disposition nor is it something you're born with.

There is an abundant supply of wealth in the world. It's there to be aquired if you are serious about aquiring it. Besides, nobody is ever truly poor, and nobody is ever truly wealthy. We're either connected to wealth or we push it away.

Really, you don't have money because you choose not to have money. Really, it's true (Really).

Good talking to you again Paul

@Really: I'm not asking any poor people for money. In fact I'm not asking anyone for money. I'm simply allowing people to donate if they want to. Those who have donated were thrilled to do it. If that's not you, that's cool. Also, what makes you think that everyone (or anyone for that matter) who reads my blog is "poor" and "blind"? That's kind of presumptuous and somewhat insulting don't you think?

How much money you make or want to make has nothing to do with accepting donations. Steve Pavlina, who has reported making well over $40k/m with his Blog, to this day still has a "Donate" button on his blog. ( http://www.stevepavlina.com/donate.htm ) I know because I've used it. Giving and receiving are two sides of the same energy. If there is one thing of value you could learn from my Blog, it's that abundance comes from being willing to GIVE in abundance and also to RECEIVE in abundance. I don't block either of those energies.

Best of luck!

I stop reading when you mentioned something about wanting money, How to Make Money Blogging in 2010, yet your asking the poor people who are looking for ways to make money for money.

You dont fool me, your site and its information are nothing special. Your just another trying to be an authorative figure whilst you lead the blind, there is yet one cent of practical value I can take from your site. You just talk and talk, I have read a few of your somewhat unfinished posts and in all honesty, I admire your markteting strategy but thats about it. Your not a hero, thats for sure.
