Wayne dyer also talks about Meme’s in his book “Excuses Begone.” It’s his second best book next to “change your thoughts change your life” which talks about the Tao Te Ching, which of course is the single most important spiritual masterpiece ever written. Check it out if you havent yet. =)

@Andy: No, what he’s saying is that the most successful films are the ones which support the already established beliefs of the general public.

Meaning, 95% of North American population is middle class or below and only 5% are considered wealthy and of that 5% about 1% are ultra wealthy. If someone makes a film that aligns with the beliefs of that 1%, it will flow in the box office. It’s much more beneficial to make movies that reflect the current beliefs of the general population, which just happens to be middle-class or poor.

A movie like Titanic or Avatar are filled with attitudes where rich people are seen as “evil” and “bad” and it’s always about getting the “evil corporation” and teaching them a lesson. I loved BOTH those movies, but Randy makes a really good point not to allow those kinds of “stories” to infiltrate your subconscious mind.

Does he think the biggest movie maker in the world sits down and thinkgs “How can I program people to not want to be rich?… I know! The first video is interesting, but what it still doesn’t explain are the first results, where people actually perform less if given more money. You’d expect them to perform in proportion to the reward, especially in poverty-stricken areas.

Youtube is full of awesome videos, and a really great source of inspiration and knowledge. These videos are really good, but it seems that we follow the same sources because I’ve already saw all of them. Thanks for sharing anyway.
