Thanks for the inspiration! I'm following my passion to help dentists open their eyes, manage their practices, reduce their stress, and enjoy life more. That has meant teaching myself to be a Social Media Maven, something TOTALLY new to me and VERY stressful. I started to get down about the current experience, but this post reminded me I'm doing this for FUN and FULFILLMENT, so why get down about it? Thanks, Pauly.

Hey Paul!
I have to admit, I have been in the lightworker dilemma of thinking that making money is not spiritual enough. Now, my mind has accepted that money, as everything else, is just energy. So is success, abundance, good friends, a life full of all the things I want etc etc... Still though, I find that resistance inside come up that is related to money. Now I recognize it however, and that makes it possible to do something about it. Whenever I find that my online business get sudden growth perieods, I try to fully be in the presence of that experience. It is all about being comfortable with success, and integrating that energy into myself. After all, it is the resistance that is uncomfortable, not the energy of the success itself.

Anyways, just felt like sharing that. Thanks for a great article!

Espen

There are some excellent points in this blog post. I think for many people who are not being authentic online on their blogs or websites there are many reasons for this. One is privacy. Maybe there are people in the real world they may not want to see their website or contact them. Another possibility is that maybe their website conflicts with their day job in some way shape or form.....

Yep was a good article, but I'm not sure where you're getting your data on lightworkers crying wolf of techie things ;)

Actually I thought I was techie, but now I realise I'm not, but it's an exciting challenge for me to nut out things within social media.

There sure is an art or should of say having the ability of being patience when building your online presence.

Typical example where I have recently learnt this (and I do know it), I am in the process of designing a wordpress theme to go alongside another venture of mine, I thought in the back of my mind when I launch there will be this flow of people talking to me about my design (even though deep down I knew that wouldn't be the case), but when I posted it on my blog my design...I got no takers in feedback. For a day I went into a kind of depression, where it really hit me, that things aren't as simple as telling someone about an idea, and the people will come. It's ridiculous because I know logically in a day, a week, or months a product may not get much momentum, but I had somehow challenged my brain to think otherwise, that somehow with my magical powers I would be able to defeat the odds - he he!

But really it showed me the mind games, that happen within oneself when one takes on any project, especially one you have promised to commit too. After a day I was ready to give-up, but really it was mind trying to get out of something that would be hard but could be very rewarding down the track.

Seth Godin talks about it in his new book, where he talks about "Lizard brains" and doing the exact opposite to what your brain is saying. Where the things that are too hard to tackle are the things your meant to challenge yourself with.

I think people need to learn for themselves about their "authentic self", those that are truly lightworkers, or people that want to find "their true self" will get there eventually, but they will make mistakes along the way, including trying to be more money driven, or look into rich quick schemes.

Paul, I agree with Doug! It's like you're in my head!!! Just when I have a question about my blog, it seems that you post the perfect answer on yours. I'm finding out just how right you are about letting your "true self" out in my online presence. Thanks for always pointing me in the right direction. Angela

I have been following this blog now since early last year and have been amazed at how the blog has evolved! I always seem to read the right post at just the right time. For the last couple of years I have been trying to make it online following all kinds of different shiny things in the affiliate marketing arena. I have made a few sales here and there but it never felt right to me. In the last week I decided that I will only market what fits with my highest purpose. This blog post fits me perfectly now. Thanks!! Doug
