I actually got the ebook. It was very informative and it helped me get more review products for my blog on running. I totally agree when he said that making reviews is a good way of connecting with both your readers and with the advertiser. Now, I can pretty much point to any running shoe that I want and have them at my doorstep in a few days to be reviewed.

@Tim: The eBook dives into that in detail, but one thing you could do is to come up with an A List, B List, C List of companies from the biggest to smallest and just start contacting the smaller fish on your C List once your site is ready with some example reviews. Once you get some C List company reviews under your belt it will probably be easier to get some B List companies interested, and then some A List companies as well.

Another thing you could do is just go to Robb’s site, look through his archives and see how he did it in chronological order. By studying his site you’ll be able to learn a lot. Of course you could just save yourself some time and buy his eBook too, since he spills his guts in there on exactly how he did it and even gives you an email template he used to solicit products.

After reading this post, I can see why you were so excited that you couldn’t sleep You pointed out one important factor of success, and that is doing things right. If you do things right from the beginning, and continue working hard regardless of how difficult things may get, you earn respect and see great success in the long run.
