New Blog Design

Yesterday I launched a new design on this blog.  I have been thinking about the direction I want to take this blog and I realized that I needed a blog design that would allow me to not only write blog posts that talk about my personal journey into fitness, health and healing, but to also allow me to write articles and product reviews related to fitness and nutrition.

This new design will allow me to write articles, reviews as well as blog posts and make it easy to access the content right from the home page.  Bear with me as I’m still working out all the design details, but things should be fairly organized pretty soon.

Update On Progress

Also, for any of you that don’t read my Inspired Money Maker blog, I made the decision to go on a personal journey to increase my online income to $30,000/m, and to simultaneously lose 25lbs of fat.  Previously, I have always focused on either growing my income or getting my health back in gear, but never both at the same time.  It never worked out, as one always pulled me away from the other, so I decided to set some milestones for myself to take care of both of these at the same time.

I set 9 milestones for myself.  They are:

  1. Income of $10,000 in 30 days, plus 5.0 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 205.0 lbs )
  2. Income of $12,500 in 30 days, plus 7.5 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 202.5 lbs )
  3. Income of $15,000 in 30 days, plus 10.0 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 200.0 lbs )
  4. Income of $17,500 in 30 days, plus 12.5 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 197.5 lbs )
  5. Income of $20,000 in 30 days, plus 15.0 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 195.0 lbs )
  6. Income of $22,500 in 30 days, plus 17.5 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 192.5 lbs )
  7. Income of $25,000 in 30 days, plus 20.5 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 190.0 lbs )
  8. Income of $27.500 in 30 days, plus 22.5 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 187.5 lbs )
  9. Income of $30,000 in 30 days, plus 25.0 lbs of Fat Loss ( or weigh 185.0 lbs )

After reaching each milestone, I will reward myself in some way.  For my first reward of reaching my first milestone I have chosen to get myself a Blendtec Total Blender (In Black).  Here’s what it looks like:

Blendtec Total Blender It’s a really nice blender that will help me to create fruit and vegetable shakes which will help me to get even healthier, which is why I chose this as my first prize at the beginning of the journey.

So far, as of my last weigh-in a few days ago I’m at 206.4 lbs so I’m almost at my first milestone (205.0lbs) weight wise, but I’m still nowhere near my first income goal due to a recent Google Slap on some of my affiliate marketing campaigns.

I’ll keep plugging away at that, but in the meantime in the health and fitness category, I’ve been doing a lot of walking with my puppy Zoe, and drinking my Acai Berry juice and so far have lost 3.6lbs from those two things alone.

Also, the other day I spent 3.5 hours outside cutting down some trees that fell on my property during the winter.  They weren’t big trees, but it still took 3 hours of hacking away at them with the chainsaw to cut them down to small enough pieces that I can carry.

Right now things still look like a big mess outside with all the branches everywhere, but I was too exhausted after the 3.5 hours to keep going.  When it stops raining I’ll have to get back out there and finish cleaning all of that up.  That should burn a few hundred calories and help to build some muscle for sure.

Once my income levels improve a bit, I’m planning on adding in some extra steps to improving my diet, and increasing my level of activity, most likely by working outside on my 5 acre property.  That way I get a good solid workout and get something done at the same time as well.  With those two things, I should easily drop below the 200lb mark to hit my second and third milestones.
