Forze GPS Mini-Review
A few months back when I was just getting started on my P90X program I mentioned that I was drinking the Endurox R4 post workout drink on my Fitness Health and Healing Blog.
Jennifer from Pacific Health Labs heard that I’m on a journey to lose some weight so she contacted me regarding sending me some samples of their new, all-natural bars called Forze GPS. Yesterday I received a package with some bars and some of their shakes to try out.
Forze GPS is an snack replacement bar or shake that you take between meals. It was designed specifically for athletes to help them manage their weight by helping to keep them satisfied longer and to control their hunger cravings.
On their website, Pacific Health Labs reports the results of numerous studies ( see here ) to determine the effect of the Forze GPS Formulation on satiety in human subjects. When they first contacted me about this I was very curious about the product. There are so many other “bars” out there on the market, most of which are designed to boost your protein intake or to replace a meal, but I’ve never seen a company put together a product like this. I figured if these bars taste good, I might use them all the time.
The reason this is a “mini-review” is that so far I’ve only had a chance to try out the Cranberry Nut Bar this morning, mostly curious about whether it will taste good or not. I was pleasantly surprised because it tasted really good. The closest thing I could describe it as would be a Rice Crispy Square with seeds, nuts and cranberries. Yummy.
The nutritional info on the bars shows that they are sweetened with plain old natural sugar (sucrose), honey, fructose etc. and not with any artificial sweeteners which to me is a big plus. I did notice that the Forze GPS shakes are sweetened with sucralose (think Splenda), which is an artificial sweetener so I probably wouldn’t be drinking these long term myself as I prefer natural sugars, but I think they probably created these shakes for those athletes that are either diabetic and want to reduce the amount of sugar they’re taking in, or for those who are looking for a very low calorie shake. Each shake is 45 calories, while the bars are 160 calories.
I’ll do a more fuller review of Forze GPS on my Fitness Health and Healing Blog in the next few days after I’ve had a chance to try out the other bars and the shake as well. I probably won’t be able to tell if they actually help me to lose weight since I don’t think I have enough bars for that, but I will try paying attention to see if I’m less hungry after eating these as compared to other snacks.
One thing I can definitely say so far is that they’ve done a really good job of making the product taste good, much the same way they did with their Endurox R4 post workout drink, so if you’re looking for a snack replacement bar that actually tastes good, try these out. You can pick these up online here or find a local retailer close to you here.

Even though you received these for free, you should have never tried it. Nothing is better than all natural fitness with real food. Of course if you eat one of these once in a while, it won’t kill, but it will in the long run.
-Mike
I have had those before and there is nothing too special about them. Eating them along with regular food is ok but not alone.
@Mike: Of course there is no substitute for “real” food. This is a “Snack Replacement”, not a “Real Food Replacement”. Meaning, when you’re hungry and for whatever reason you can’t have “real food” at the moment, you eat one of these instead of having a bag of chips or a chocolate bar or some other kind of “snack”.
@sci: I found the cranberry one to be very tasty and filling.
