I Have a New Puppy

What better way to celebraty my 300th post on this Blog than to announce a new addition to our family.  Her name is Zoe and she’s an adorable black Lab puppy that I have completely fallen in love with.

My wife and I have been thinking about getting another dog for quite some time now, but the timing just wasn’t right until now.  When we got our first dog ( Kobe ) nine years ago, both my wife and I were working full time jobs with me working long shifts six or sometimes even seven days a week.  Because of this we didn’t really have as much time to spend with Kobe as we would have liked to and we didn’t want to make the same mistake with our second dog as well.

That is why we waited until now when I’m doing the majority of my work from home so that I can be here to spend time with Zoe and Kobe.  The beauty of making money online is that you can arrange your schedule around your lifestyle, not the other way around.  For example, right now it’s 11:30pm and I’m able to get online and do my work while Zoe is sleeping beside me.  Both dogs have had adventerous days, and they’re tired out so they’re both passed out sleeping.

Here are some pics I took this morning of Zoe.  I have a whole bunch more that I’ll post soon.

This is Zoe having a little nap after we tired her out a bit.

This is her starting to wake up after the camera flash went off.  At this point she was still unsure whether to get up or to go back to sleep.

She found the camera lens moving to focus quite interesting so she got up and went in for a closeup.

This is Zoe and Kobe a bit later on getting acquainted.  She’s too busy trying to get her first ever puppy collar off to really even care about Kobe, while he stares at her with no clue as to what he should do.  This is the first time he’s ever been around a puppy this small.

What do you guys think of my precious little Zoe?  I have never had a girl puppy in my life.  All the dogs I have ever had growing up were boys.  When we went to see the puppies I was telling my wife that I want a boy, not a girl, but when we got there I was playing with the puppies and Zoe ran over and jumped in my arms and started to lick my face and I was sold on the spot.  I cannot believe how much affection this dog shows towards me.  She’s a total suck.  Are all girl puppies like this?

My wife says I may be just a little bit biased, but I told her today that I seriously think she’s the most adorable puppy on the planet.  Maybe I’m just a bit biased but I think she’s so cute.

She has a lot of energy, like most puppies do, so I’m sure I’ll be outside a lot more this summer getting more exercise with her and Kobe.  That should help me to lose some of that fat around my waist so that I can reach the milestones I set for myself yesterday.

A while back we got a Rottie Puppy. Now he is huge. Definitely should help you with your goals. Good luck!

Ah, nice looking bitch. Sorry didn’t mean for it to sound like that. But hey Paul, I was like you. All my life, I have only had male German Shepherds. But when I travelling so much a few years ago, my dog would just sit in the front window and wait for me to come home. So we went on line and found the sweetest looking female companion for him at this German Shepherd rescue. Someone had abandoned this beautiful female german shepherd in the Olympia forest in Washington.

Long story short, she was very special. I hadn’t expected how much I would enjoy this dog. Unfortunately, just as humans do, my male dog died suddenly of cancer, then about 6 months later, the female died of cancer. Talk about a double whammy. I was pretty shattered. But I have great memories of what great dogs both of them were. So in the future, I would not hesitate to get a female dog.

By the way, your pup is adorable. You should go out and buy the Cesar Millan box set of the Dog Whisperer.

Beautiful puppy Paul. I used to have 3 girls: 2 golden retrievers and 1 Beagle, but that was when I lived in my old house. I’m getting married now and I want to buy an English bulldog but male.

@Asswass: Thanks. I’ve had a golden retriever before. They are very cute as well. I’ve never had a bulldog.

@ampedjonathan: She’ll definitely help me with my health goals, that’s for sure. I just need to balance those out with getting more work done on the computer while she’s sleeping. Time to dust off those time management skills. :) When she’s awake, she’s running around at Mach 3. I swear Puppies are powered by some kind of nuclear fission reactors or something. Where do they get all that energy??

@Ace: Ah yes, my wife and I love Cesar Milan. We had all his shows recorded on our PVR but then it died two weeks ago. I think I’ll use the Bestbuy Gift Cards from Market Leverage that I got last year and just go and buy the DVD set.

Although a lot of his show is about rehabilitating older dogs. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him do a show on how to train a puppy properly from scratch.

@AnnaLaura: I feel like I’ve walked 10 miles today. My feet are killing me from keeping an eye on Zoe and from taking her out for her walks. She’s very perticular about picking the perfect spot to go poo, lol.

Congrats on your new puppy : ) It is amazing how much energy puppies have. I wonder how Zoe and Kobe will get along once they get to know each other better..Please give us another update in the future!

You pick nice dogs and good names as well. I’d like to meet both Kobe and Zoe one day. That’s the biggest dog I’ve ever seen, lol.

Regarding Cesar, he’ll follow you on Twitter if you follow him… http://twitter.com/cesarmillan

Very cute puppy. Congrats Paul. Greg Ellison

@Tyler: Thanks. On our way to see the puppies, we were thinking that if we pick a boy we would call him Eddy. I never even considered a female until we got there. My wife thought of Zoe on the way home and we both loved the name and thought that Zoe totally looks like a Zoe! :)

I followed Cesar the other day, and I’m reading his book when Zoe gives me a few minutes.

@Greg: Thanks! She’s very cute. Unfortunately, that makes it that much harder to get mad at her when she’s doing something wrong….and I’m pretty sure she knows it to. :)

How CUTE! I may steal her if we ever have an internet marketer dog day. Congrats to the newest member of the family. We’ll have to come out with some ML dog gear now!

  16. Paul PiotrowskiNo Gravatar said on June 2nd, 2009 at 4:51 pm

@MLDina: Thanks. She’s adorable. I’ve spent the last three days with her, working on house training her and getting her to get along with Kobe. I’m making some good progress. My wife just got home and took her to a friend’s place so that I could have a break. Man, I can just imagine what new mothers go through when they have kids.

I’m sure about 10x’s more work. My two (dogs) are enough- so kids?! Don’t even want to think about it. Good luck with the training, that’s rough. Does she have a wardrobe?

  18. Paul PiotrowskiNo Gravatar said on June 3rd, 2009 at 12:33 pm

@MLDina: Wardrobe? No, just a red collar.

    She will soon- Kobe too!
