P90X – Day 26 – Core Synergistics
It was Core Synergistics day today on this forth week of the program. For some reason I really like this workout, but I’m a bit concerned because a lot of my muscles are still pretty sore and worn out and “Recovery Week” is almost over. I hope I’ll be ready to push hard again next week.
The P90X system definitely exposes your weaknesses, that’s for sure. I notice that my lower back on one side is weaker than the other for some reason as it’s a lot more sore when I do the exercises. It may be due to some habit I have where I lean to one side more than the other, such as when I’m driving my car or sitting at the computer. Either way, P90X is exposing that weakness and strengthening those weaker muscles.
I also notice that my shoulders are probably one of the most sore parts of my body. This is probably because I’ve mostly ignored my shoulders whenever I’ve worked out in the past focusing more on my chest, legs, biceps and triceps. That’s one of the great things I love about this program – it hits every muscle group.
For breakfast today I had the Beach Body Protein Shake. Last time I had the shake I didn’t have any bananas at home so I made it with some other frozen fruit and it didn’t taste very good so I was a bit turned off of Protein Shakes for a few days. Today when I had it with banana it tasted really good so I’m back to liking them.
For lunch I just ended up having my recovery drink and went out for dinner tonight and had a Pacific Wild Salmon Burger at Red Robin.
