P90X – Day 22 – Yoga X
Today was Day 1 of Week 4. Week 4 is a recovery week so the whole workout routine changed today and we did Yoga X instead of the regular strength training we do on Mondays.
It kind of felt like I just did Yoga X the other day, but I guess that was last Thursday. Today’s Yoga session actually went pretty well. I was sweating like crazy throughout the whole thing. I can tell a lot of the stabilizer muscles that were weak at the beginning of this program have been strengthened as I was able to hold a lot more of the postures properly in today’s session. I also think my flexibility has improved big time. I still have a long ways to go, but it’s nice to see improvement.
I was almost able to hold Crane today for 2-3 seconds. One day I’ll be able to do that move.
For breakfast today I made a Protein Shake using the Beach Body Whey Protein. I didn’t have any bananas in the house so I used frozen berries instead, but I didn’t really like it as much as I like it with banana.
For lunch I just ended up having Organic Creamy Tomato Soup, as we didn’t have a lot of groceries in the fridge to make anything else.
After lunch I went grocery shopping, and for dinner we made Baked Lemon & Dill Wild Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Green/Yellow Beans. My wife showed me how to make the salmon and it was delicious. I love the taste of dill on salmon.
