P90X – Day 21 – Rest Day
Today was a rest day for me. It’s a good thing too because I was absolutely exhausted today. Tomorrow the “Recovery Week” starts on the plan, which just means that I’ll be doing mostly cardio work for a week to let my muscles recover in preparation for Phase II of the P90X system which starts a week from tomorrow.
The idea of the recovery week is to allow the body to regenerate all the muscle tissue that was destroyed in the last three weeks of pushing hard on the program. If today is any indication of how well the program is working, I would say it definitely did it’s job in completely ripping through the muscle in the last three weeks. I’m really looking forward to this “Recovery Week”.
For breakfast today I had leftover Chinese food again, and for dinner I had Tri-Colored Pasta in Alfredo Sauce, with a Chicken Breast and Zucchini with Asparagus.
Also, I popped by GNC today to pickup some supplements. They were having a sale on a whole bunch of stuff in the store, so I picked up some protein bars, as well as a few other supplements I’ll be trying out in the next few weeks.
Tomorrow I start the process again with a new week.

@Paul: Thanks. There is a secondary benefit to taking pics of all my food. When I don’t know what to eat, I just look at my Blog and remember “Oh yeah! That tasted really good…I’m make that again!” hehehe…
