P90X – Day 19 – Legs and Back

Written by Paul Piotrowski - Friday, February 27th, 2009

Today I was out for most of the day so I didn’t get a chance to cook my meals or take any pictures.  In the morning I had a dentist appointment and I didn’t get to prepare a good breakfast.  I ended up having a small piece of the banana bread my wife baked yesterday and some orange juice.

After my dentist appointment I met up with a friend of mine at a mall for lunch and the healthiest thing I could find at the mall was some sushi.  I had some grilled salmon on rice, some California rolls, some salad and miso soup.  The I drove home where I had just enough time to do my Legs and Back workout before heading out again.

For dinner I went to Red Robin and ended up having their Wild Salmon Burger on a Ciabatta bun and it tasted really good.  It wasn’t the best day for me today for sticking to the P90X meal plan, but tomorrow is another day.  I think I’ll be home tomorrow so I’ll be able to cook my own meals which are way healthier.

Today’s workout went fairly well, although I’m really starting to feel like my muscles are running out of steam.  Hopefully they’ll get some much needed rest during the “Recovery Week” which starts on Monday.  However, in the P90X program the label “Recovery Week” does not mean sitting on the couch and doing nothing.  We still do an intense workout every day, except for next week we will be giving the muscles some rest by not having any strength workouts and just focusing on more cardio-type workouts.  Should be interesting.

My nutritional stats for today are:

Calories:  2859
Fat: 105g
Carbs: 334g
Protein: 140g
