P90X – Day 14 – Rest Day

Written by Paul Piotrowski - Sunday, February 22nd, 2009

Today was my rest day.  On rest day you have a choice of either just resting or doing the X Stretch DVD to improve your flexibility.  I had a birthday/house warming party that I went to today so I decided to just rest for today.

On my rest day I also allow myself to indulge and try some foods that I may be craving that are not on the diet one day a week.  Today, since I went to a party I ended up eating some food that’s definitely not very nutritious like chicken wings and spinach dip.  I also had two Coke’s as well.

To be totally honest, I found all the food tasting really salty to me now or really sweet in the case of the pop I had.  It actually didn’t really taste good.  I ended up eating mostly veggies like broccoli and cauliflower because I didn’t really enjoy the taste of the other stuff.

I think my taste buds have changed or something.  I used to drink Coke all the time and I was totally addicted to it, but now that I haven’t been drinking it, it just tastes so sweet to me.  I would rather drink a recovery drink now. :)

After the party, I also wasn’t feeling very good either.  I was full from the food I ate, but I could tell my body was craving clean food.

On another note, my sister commented that I look skinnier in the face.  I can’t really tell because I see my face every day so it’s hard to tell the difference.  Anyway, I’m really tired now so I’m going to go to bed and get some rest so I can restart back up on my first day of Week 3 tomorrow.  I’m really excited and ready to Bring It!
