Once again I have teamed up with the wonderful folks at Amped Media to bring you Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge #3.  We’ve got a whole bunch of new prizes up for grabs in this competition, along with a new way for Bloggers who are not affiliate marketers to win prizes as well. Check out the details below.

Contest Updates

Besides changes in the prizes, the rules for this month’s challenge are going to stay unchanged from last month.

Three Categories To Compete In

There are three different categories of prizes in the challenge.

The first category is called the “Affiliate Incubator Category” which is a category that all new participants qualify to compete in.  You simply have to sign up with Amped Media using my referral link and if you haven’t placed in the top three in any of the previous challenges, you automatically qualify for this category.  The purpose of this category is to allow new publishers to compete with others who have just signed up, as opposed to other affiliates who may already have numerous campaigns running for months.

The second category is called the “Main Category” which is the category that everyone participates in.  Everyone qualifies for the “Main Category” even if they are also competing in the “Affiliate Incubator Category”.  This means that new publishers who haven’t won a prize before can potentially qualify to win a prize in both categories.  In the second challenge we had one winner who placed in the top 3 in both categories.  This is an awesome incentive for anyone who hasn’t yet signed up with Amped Media to get signed up and go for both prizes in your first month.

The third category is called the “Super Affiliate Category” which is for affiliates who generate at least $10,000 in revenue during the contest period.

Winner’s Choice

One of the exciting new options we added in the competition last month was adding in the “Winner’s Choice” option which allows the winners of the competition to choose the prize they want in the order of their standings.  So, for example, the person who places 1st in the challenge gets to choose his prize from the pool of prizes first.  Then the 2nd place winner gets to choose and then the 3rd place winner.

The winners also have the option to “carry-over” their earnings from this challenge to future challenges, instead of choosing a prize, in order to potentially qualify for the “Super Affiliate Category” or a higher ranking spot in the top 3.

How to Participate

For anyone who participated in the first two challenges, you’re automatically eligible to participate in this month’s challenge as well.  All you have to do is just earn affiliate revenue through Amped Media and you’re all set.

For any new participants, the rules are very simple.  Here’s what you need to do:

(1) Sign up for an Amped Media account using my referral link (Click Here to Sign Up ).  Once you sign up using this link I will be able to see your earnings in my account.  If you don’t sign up using my referral link or if you already have an account with Amped Media under someone else’s referral link you are unfortunately not eligible to participate since if I don’t refer you I have no way to see your earnings.

Please note that in order to approve your account, Amped Media must be able to reach you by telephone on the phone number you sign up with, so make sure you enter in a telephone number that they can reach you at during business hours.  A lot of affiliates miss out on getting their accounts approved simply because Amped is unable to get a hold of you.

If you’re having any problems getting your account approved, let me know and I’ll try to help out.

(2) Once you have your account with Amped Media approved, you are ready to start earning revenues.  Go nuts!  Earn as much as you can during the competition, and the Top 3 earners in the Main Category and the Top 3 earners in the Affiliate Incubator category qualify to win prizes.  If your earnings go above $10,000 you then qualify for one of the prizes in the Super Affiliate Category.

(3) Make sure you take the time to get to know your affiliate manager at Amped Media and talk to them about getting the kind of offers you want in order to earn the most.  Amped Media is committed to bringing you the best offers possible, but as they are a rather new network they might not necessarily have all the offers you may see on other networks yet so you have to be proactive and ask them for what you want.  They can’t read your mind.  Also, if you’re running similar offers on other networks at different payouts make sure you talk to your affiliate manager. They are there to help you get competitive payouts on offers as well.

Super Affiliate Categories

There are currently three prize levels in the Super Affiliate Categories.

Earnings of $50,000+ Category

To qualify to win this laptop you must earn at least $50,000 in earnings during the competition period.  Remember that even if you don’t quite make it to this level in this challenge, as long as you place in the Top 3 you will have the choice to carry over your earnings to next month and compete to win this thing again.

Earnings of $25,000+ Category

Canon EOS Rebel XSi Digital SLR Camera

To qualify to win this beautiful digital SLR camera you must earn at least $25,000 in earnings during the competition period.  Once again, remember that even if you don’t quite make it to this level in this challenge, as long as you place in the Top 3 you will have the choice to carry over your earnings to next month and compete to win this thing again.

Earnings of $10,000+ Category

Playstation 3 (80 GB) Gaming Console

• Blu-ray Disc Player
• DualShock 3 Wireless Controller
• Internet-Ready WiFi
• Also Plays CD’s and DVD’s
• HDMI Output for 1080p Resolution

To qualify to win a Playstation 3 Gaming Console you must earn at least $10,000 in earnings during the competition period.  Once again, remember that even if you don’t quite make it to this level in this challenge, as long as you place in the Top 3 you will have the choice to carry over your earnings to next month and compete to win a Playstation 3 again.

Main Category

The Main Category is open to all contestants regardless of your earnings level.  There are three prizes that will be available in this category and the person who earns the most revenue during the challenge period will have first choice pick on the prizes.  As outlined above, each person in the Top 3 gets a choice to pick one of the prizes left in the prize pool OR to elect to carry over their earnings into next month’s challenge.

Blogger, But Not An Affiliate Marketer?

Are you a Blogger, but not into affiliate marketing?  Even if you are not an affiliate marketer, you can still participate to win prizes in this contest by helping me decide which prizes I should offer in upcoming competitions.

Here’s what you need to do in order to participate.

Step 1> Have some fun and pick 3 prizes that you think I should offer in next month’s challenge.  For the top 3 spots, you have a $300 budget to work with for the #1 prize, a $200 budget to work with for the #2 prize and a $100 budget to work with for the #3 prize.

The products you pick should be fairly easily shippable and should work in most places in the world.  For example, picking a cell-phone package from Verizon wouldn’t work because it may not be available outside of the US.  It doesn’t have to be something that works absolutely everywhere, but it shouldn’t be something that only works in Southern California, USA for example.

The products should be easy for Amped Media to order online, so try to stick with online merchants.  You could use Amazon or BestBuy online or other online merchants that offer worldwide shipping.

Step 2> Write a post on your Blog talking about this competition and talk about the top 3 prizes you would offer affiliates, including a brief description and pictures of the prizes.  Link to this post using the words “Affiliate Marketing Challenge” somewhere in the body of your post and then leave a comment below linking back to your post so I can see which prizes you picked.

Step 3> Once the challenge is over, I am going to go through all the prize suggestions and if I end up using one of the prizes you suggested in the next challenge, you will win a $25 Amped Media Amex Gift Card for EACH prize I use.  So if I end up using the three prizes you picked, you could walk away with $75 in Gift Cards!  By the way, these gift cards work anywhere AMEX is accepted worldwide.

Any prizes I have already used in previous challenges do not qualify.  If more than one person ends up suggesting a prize and I end up using that prize, the person who left a comment first linking to their post will be the winner, so try to be original.

Affiliates who are participating in these challenges can also participate in this part of the contest, and in fact it’s probably a really good idea to do that because then you can help me come up with ideas for the types of prizes that you’d like to see in future competitions.
