Inspired Affiliate Marketing Secrets Contest Winner Announced
Sorry for the slight delay on announcing this guys, but the bad weather and power outages have really delayed everything here for the last few days. At the beginning of December I announced a contest that Market Leverage was sponsoring for the month of December where you could win a Flip Mino HD just by sharing an Affiliate Marketing Secret on this Blog.
To be honest I was actually slightly surprised to see only two people submit an entry for this contest. I thought the turnout would have been a lot stronger for this. This particular contest was running on numerous other Blogs as well, and I looked around and saw a similar trend on most other Blogs as well with only a few entries being posted per Blog.
I guess this signifies that people either don’t know any Affiliate Marketing Secrets they feel are worth sharing, or they are keeping their Affiliate Marketing Secrets to themselves, or are simply too lazy to take the time to type out a few paragraphs for a chance to win a Flip Mino HD.
Although I obviously wasn’t eligible to participate in my own contest, I actually did end up submitting an entry into this contest on another Blog. I already have a Flip Mino, which I won in another Market Leverage contest, but it would have been cool to get the high definition version of it. I didn’t end up winning, but it was definitely worth entering since the odds were pretty good and I wanted to show some support for Market_Leverage since they are obviously trying to get out there and find creative ways to help us affiliates to make more money.
I really hope they continue to sponsor things like this and find creative ways to help young affiliate marketers get into this game.
The two entries I received were The Art of Scaling a Campaign submitted by Richard Bonner, and How to Start Affiliate Marketing – Your First Week by Sam Van Der Wall. Thank you both for your submissions. They were both excellent and it was a rather difficult process to try to decide which one to choose as the winner. I read and then re-read both entries and thought that both were very good.
Richard’s article targets affiliate marketers who are a bit further down the affiliate marketing path, and Sam’s article more targets beginners who are just getting stared in affiliate marketing. It was tough picking between the two, but in the end I picked Richard Bonner’s article as the winner so congratulations Richard for winning yourself a Flip Mino HD!
The article will also be entered into a competition for the grand prize with all the hosting Blogs voting on their top choices. I have received all the winning entries from all the Blogs and picking the top three from that list is going to be even harder!
Edit: There was actually a third entry submitted by Tushar Dhoot of TusharDhoot.com, who made a video entry into the contest but unfortunately I did not receive it until after the contest was over. If you’d like to see the video submission, it is available here: Tushar Dhoot Video Entry . The password to view the video is “inspired”. Thank you Tushar for the submission, and I’m sorry that it was missed.

Congratulations to the winners!
Thanks Paul, I was looking into buying a HD Flip Mino if I didn’t win when you was telling me about this competition. Saved me some cash
Fingers crossed for the grand prize
Just 2 contestants huh? Anyway I was planning to join your blog’s contest but pretty much ran out of idea because i have joined about 3 blogs with the same contest…
Anyway, people don’t want to share their secrets obviously because their secret is more than the worth of a nano or a flip hd.. If the stake was higher then we’ll see a lot coming out…
Hopefully next time you run a contest like this, I’ll have some secrets to share!
What do you mean you only got 2 entries?
I sent you an entry a couple of days after your contest was announced and I’m not in those 2 names up there.
I don’t care that I didn’t win (I’m not an expert affiliate marketer in the first place), but I would just like to know that my hard work was recognized.
I made a protected video on Vimeo and sent you a link with the password through your contact form.
Did you miss my comment or something?
It shows that the (test) message has been sent, but I can 100% remember that I received the exact same message when I submitted because I remember being impressed at the use of Ajax.
@Tushar: How did you send your entry? I did not receive it. Was it via email, or via my contact form, or as a comment?
@Tushar: I checked and I didn’t receive the email. Could you try sending me another contact again now and tell me if the page gives you any kind of error or not? My tests show it works fine, but maybe it’s causing some kind of error I’m not seeing.
