Saying Goodbye to 2008

Written by Paul Piotrowski - Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

2008 was a year of massive changes, transitions and new beginnings for me.  Although the first three months of 2008 were rather slow for me on this Blog due to indecision and lack of focus, I made a decision to commit to my Inspired Money Maker path full force in April and things began to really take off.

I started off the year with 50 RSS Subscribers, and as of this morning I hit a new milestone of 1,704 RSS Subscribers.  If my calculations are right, that is a growth rate of 3,308% in one year which I’m very happy with.  The biggest factors that contributed to that growth have been:

  • Continuing to write content for the Blog on a regular basis.  As of today, not including this post, I have written a total of 247 posts containing 255,831 words which received 1,253 comments in the last 14 months of blogging
  • Deciding to give away my eBook for Free to my RSS Subscribers on April 20th
  • Using AWeber to handle all of my email subscriptions and then connecting AWeber with Feedburner back in July
  • My constant work with Visualizations and the Law of Attraction
  • The constant support of my loyal readers, helping to promote the Blog by submitting it to social bookmarking sites such as Digg and StumbleUpon, linking to my articles and word of mouth advertising

Some of the other things that I experimented with that brought a lot of traffic to this Blog have been reporting my Blog Income for 6 months ( April, May, June, July, August, and September ), running Blog Contests, and starting the Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge.

Back in September I began a four month shift towards doing all this full time, setting a target for myself to set aside any other jobs and projects I’m working on to fully focus on this Blog, my affiliate marketing efforts and any other projects related to Inspired Money Maker only.  I’m super excited to report that I’ve reached that goal and I’m now doing this full time.

I’ve met a lot of new friends through the Blog and continue to meet people all the time.  In December I also found out that my story was published in Joe Vitale’s latest book "Expect Miracles: The Missing Secret to Astounding Success" which was really exciting because I’ve never had anything published in print before.

All in all, 2008 was a very successful transition year for me and I’m really looking forward to 2009 when I will be fully focused on doing what I love.  Thank you all for your continued support, I hope you all had a successful and prosperous 2008 and if you haven’t already, I wish you all find your Inspired Money Maker path in 2009.

Just one last quick reminder.  Today is the last day for your submissions for the Inspired Marketing Secrets Contest sponsored by Market Leverage.  So far we’ve only received two entries, so if you submit your entry your chances of winning are one in three which is pretty good odds.  I’ll accept entries until the end of day today and post them in the next few days and the draw for the winner will happen around January 5th.

Happy New Year everyone!

Nice to hear that… This 2009 I believe is my first full year at hand with my blog. I started my blog June last year and although I think I did a half-decent job, its still exciting to see how this year will turn out for me…

I would like to commend you Paul on staying focus and living out your goals. Most of the times starting out is the absolutely hardest thing for people to due because they tend to lose motivation and desire very quickly if things aren’t happening right away. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and realize that it is a business and it will take time to develop. Keep up the good work in 09′ Paul.

    Hi Paul!

This is indeed an inspiration. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones! :)

One would get scared about opening himself up to the internet and letting everyone see what’s going to happen. And as in most cases those fears are usually unfounded.

    All the Best!

    Regards,

I have big hopes for my blog in 2009. I’m trying to get there and so far it’s slowly getting better. I think I still need to focus my energy on the rights things though and staying on track.
