Holy smokes it seems like I was just writing up the post announcing the Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge , and now the first challenge contest is over.  The last 30 days seemed to have just flown right by for some reason.  Maybe it’s the fact that days seem shorter as we get closer to Christmas, heheh.

I’m very excited to announce that the very first Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge was a huge success.  The contest drew in 13 new affiliate accounts for Amped Media, with 6 actively competing for the top 3 prizes in this round.  We generated just under $2,000 in new revenues during the contest period which was a great start!

The contest started out with just one affiliate (CD1374 – aka Richard Bonner ) sprinting ahead, securing the #1 spot almost instantly with revenues of around $350 but then it seemed like he saw that nobody was chasing him so he sat down by the tree and decided to take a nap.

Another affiliate (CD1369 – aka Tara ) began at a slow pace, seemingly doing some stretches, warm-ups and picking the right playlist on her iPod before really getting going, but once she got into the zone there was no stopping her.  Her revenues were steady throughout the whole competition and began to increase in momentum in the second half of the contest, allowing her to race ahead of everyone else hitting over $870 in revenues.

The battle for 3rd place didn’t even begin until the last two weeks of the contest.  Shortly after I wrote Example of How to Make Money As An Affiliate Marketer – Part 1 and Example of How to Make Money As An Affiliate Marketer – Part 2 it seemed that a few people woke up to the fact that 3rd place spot was complete open for the taking and a battle began.  CD1636 , CD1515 and CD1499 continued to beat each other out for 3rd spot, sometimes switching places several times a day, but in the end another player (CD1665 ) seemed to come out of nowhere and screamed into the contest at Mach 1, securing 3rd place, with his targets set to blast by CD1374 who was still having a nap by the tree.

Luckily for CD1374 the sonic boom (generated by CD1665 breaking the sound barrier) woke him out of his sleep and he began running for the finish line with just hours left in the contest.  CD1665 would have surely caught up if CD1374 hadn’t woken up, but in the end CD1374 did wake up and had too much of a lead start for CD1665 to catch up.

It was a lot of fun watching the events of this challenge unfold and now without further ado, here are the Top 3 winners in the very first Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge .

1st Place Winner – CD1369

Congratulations to Queen Tara for placing 1st in the challenge, winning herself an iPod Touch 16GB and bragging rights for taking the gold in the very first Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge .  Great job Tara, thank you for participating in the challenge and good luck in future competitions.

2nd Place Winner – CD1374

Congratulations to Richard Bonner for placing 2nd in the challenge, winning himself a Sony Cyber-Shot 7.2 MegaPixel Digital Camera and of course bragging rights for taking silver in the very first Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge. I know right from the start Richard was gunning for the digital camera so great job Richard, thanks for participating and good luck in the future competitions.

3rd Place Winner – CD1665

I don’t know exactly who CD1665 is, but you must be the son or daughter of The Flash based on the speed at which you jumped into the contest with just days left in the challenge.  Congratulations on placing third and winning a Logitech G15 2-Tone Gaming Keyboard. I’m not sure if you are a gamer, but these keyboards are the envy of a lot of gamers, especially World of Warcraft players.  Great job jumping into the competition in the last few days and if you continue to blast through at this speed, you’ll definitely be a force to be reckoned with in the next challenge.  Thanks for participating!  I know Tara and Richard will be keeping an eye on you for sure.  Good luck in the next challenge.

Other Participants

I also want to thank CD1636 , CD1515 and CD1499 for participating in the challenge and even though you didn’t win any of the prizes in the competition, I congratulate you on your efforts.  I know that for a few of you the temporary subID tracking issues with Direct Track threw a wrench in your plans (subID issues are now fixed BTW) and I’m sure we’ll see a lot more from you guys in the coming months.  Don’t get discouraged as I’ll be announcing something shortly that you’re going to absolutely love for the next challenge.

Final Standings

Although the standings for 1st , 2nd and 3rd place above are final, I forgot to do a screen capture of the exact numbers as of midnight last night so the numbers below may possibly be off by a few dollars.  It was Friday night, and I forgot that I had to check the numbers as of 9pm my time (PST) to get the exact to the penny stats.  I am getting a final report from Amped Media later on which will have the exact figures, just in case I was off by a few dollars but here are the unofficial numbers in the competition:

So What’s Next?

One of the questions that I have been continuously asked throughout this competition is “Will there be an Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge #2?” and I’m super excited to announce that due to the success of the first challenge, Amped Media and Inspired Affiliate is now running the Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge #2 .  When I say “now running” I actually mean that quite literally – the challenge has already started!

Meaning, we are not wasting even a second launching the next challenge for you to compete in.  As of this this morning (Dec 13th – 12:00am EST) the competition has begun for the second challenge.  The full contest details will be announced very shortly, (as soon as I can get the post written up!), but the competition has already started.  This time the competition will run from midnight (EST) December 13th until the end of day January 14th (EST).

Full details are coming very soon, but I’m confident that you guys are going to love what we’ve got in store for you in the 2nd challenge.  It’s going to be bigger, more exciting and offer you even more options to win than the first challenge.
