Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge

Today I had a long chat with the owner of Amped Media, a brand new Affiliate Network trying to establish themselves in the industry.  Seeing as I’m fairly new to doing this whole Affiliate Marketing thing full time, it was great to see the owner take the time to reach out to me and for us to exchange some ideas on how we can mutually help each other be more successful in the industry.

After a few conversations I brought up the idea of launching an Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge similar to some of the ones I’ve participated in on Tyler Cruz’s site because as a new Affiliate Marketer I know how much fun it can be to win some prizes when you’re just getting started in this business.  I have thought about doing something like this with other networks but the major challenge is that most people are already signed up for the other networks under someone elses referral ID’s so they wouldn’t qualify for my contest.

Since Amped Media is a brand new network, it opens up this competition to a much larger audience of people who may not have an account with Amped Media yet.  Also, since it’s a brand new network it’s going to make it that much easier for you to compete and win prizes in this competition.

How It Will Work

The Inspired Affiliate Marketing Challenge will run from November 12th to December 12th, 2008. To participate you must sign up to Amped Media using my referral link so that I can track your earnings.  The sooner you sign up , the more time you will have to compete in the challenge.

Once you’re signed up, all revenues that you earn through the Amped Media network will count towards the challenge, and the top 3 earners will win prizes in the “Main Category “.  For more experienced Affiliate Marketers, we also have a “Super Affiliate Category ” for anyone who earns above $10,000 during the challenge.

How to Participate in the Competition

1. You must sign up to Amped Media using my referral link by clicking here .  If you’ve already singed up to Amped Media under someone else’s referral link, you are unfortunately not going to be eligible for the contest as I can’t track your earnings.
2. Earn as much as you can, promoting offers through the Amped Media network throughout the challenge.  Visit this Blog often, for tips and ideas on how to make more money as an affiliate marketer and to track your standings.
3. If you are in the Top 3 earners for the 30 day period, you win one of the prizes!  If you earn more than $10,000 in commissions you qualify for the “Super Affiliate Category ” of prizes.

Prizes Up For Grabs

The prizes up for grabs in this competition will be broken down into two different categories.

The first category is a “Super Affiliate Category” which will mostly target Affiliate Marketers who are already fairly established in the Affiliate Marketing industry and who are able to generate upwards of $10,000/month in revenues.

The second category is the “Main Category” which targets newer Affiliate Marketers who are just getting started in the industry.  Even if you haven’t made a single penny in Affiliate Marketing yet, you can still totally compete!  Having the two different categories allows everyone to compete at their own level.

“Super Affiliate” Categories

1st Place: Earnings of $50,000+

To qualify to win prizes in the “Super Affiliate” categories you must meet the minimum earnings during the competition period.  For the 1st Place Prize, you must earn at least $50,000 through Amped Media throughout the competition period.

Main Category

The “Main Category ” of prizes is for Affiliates that are just getting started in Affiliate Marketing.  These prizes are available to be won by the Top 3 competitors in this challenge regardless of their earnings level .  What this means is that unlike the “Super Affiliate Category” prizes above, for the Main Category prizes there is no minimum earning requirement to be able to compete.  You could technically be in the running by generating $1 in revenues if nobody else earns more than that.

1st Place: Apple Second Generation iPod Touch Black 16GB

Great Start Into Affiliate Marketing

This is an awesome opportunity not only for experienced affiliate marketers, but also for the brand new affiliate just starting out.  I plan on sharing some of the tips that I have learned about affiliate marketing over the coming weeks to help you earn more money with your campaigns.  I’m no “Super Affiliate” either, but in my opinion it is the starting part of this business that’s the hardest.  Learning to earn your first $100 and your first $1,000 is the toughest part.  Once you’re there, it’s just a matter of tweaking, scaling and launching more campaigns.

A Bit More About Amped Media

Over the coming days and weeks I’ll spend a bit more time talking about Amped Media and how you can utilize their system to make money online as an affiliate marketer, but today I just wanted to give you guys a really quick and brief overview of their system and how it works.

Their setup is pretty much the same as any other affiliate network.  You sign up for an account, and once you’re approved you get access to their system.  Once you login, you’ll be able to choose from hundreds of different offers to promote.

If you currently run a Blog or a website, the process of earning some money could be as simple as taking a banner ad listed in one of their offers and placing it on your Blog or Website.  Whenever someone clicks on the banner and signs up for the offer or makes a purchase you make an affiliate commission.

• Personal Affiliate Manager: When you signed up with Amped Media, you will be assigned a Personal Affiliate Manager who is there to help you make the most money possible through their network.  These people are here as a resource to answer your questions.
• Hundreds of Quality Offers: Although Amped Media already has over 250 high quality offers, one of the main points that I discussed with the owner is that they are absolutely dedicated to doing everything in their power to bring you whatever types of offers you’re looking to promote if they don’t already have it on their network.  All you have to do is just talk to your Personal Affiliate Manager and they’ll do what they can to help you out.
• Accelerated Payments: Amped Media pays out based on Net 15 terms.  What this means is that for any money you earn (minimum $25) during the month of November as an exmaple, will be paid out on December 15th.  In another review I read that there is a 60 day waiting period for Amped to get paid by their advertisers before they will pay out you as an affiliate, but in my conversation with their owner today they assured me that this is NOT the case.  Any money you make in a given month gets paid out by the 15th of the following month.  This is great news, especially for people doing PPC marketing.  You have the option of receiving you funds via Check, Direct Deposit, Bank Wire or Paypal.
• Service, Service, Service: Amped Media wants to distinguish themselves in the industry by providing the highest quality customer service in the industry.  Remember that as an affiliate marketer, the more money they can help you make, the more money they make so they’re here to help in whatever ways they can, even if you’re just getting started in the industry.
