Paul – that’s awesome! One of my goals for the new year is to expand my network of blogs along side my network of niche sites. I had a fish once, and he committed suicide by leaping out of the bowl when my sister and I were at school.

Needless to say I didn’t get anymore fish after that!

@Dot Com Dud: I write for whichever Blog I’m inspired to write for. If it feels right to write for one Blog four times in a row, so be it. I think it’s more important to be inspired to write, than to try to “manage time”. Hope that helps.

This is quite a timely post as I am about to launch another blog and considering a 4th after that. It’s good to know that this blog isn’t suffering and your new one is going well (and looking good). How do you split your time between them, do you give each blog an even amount or do they differ based on their importance to you?

Great post.

I also run 3 blogs, 1 is my personal Internet Marketing blog, and others are associated with my hobbies – mostly outdoor sports.

I think if you really like the topic, and you know something about it, and have interest, then I think you can have as many blogs as you want, if you’re just interested in it.

Congratulations on the third blog! Running three blogs may seem difficult for many people, but by doing so, you become more selective in what you post, and by being more selective the quality of your posts tend in increase! I wish you the best of luck. I have always been interested in fish as well. My good friend’s dad ran a Chinese restaurant and had some Chinese fish with Chinese writing on embedded into their skin.

@Jeremy Day: Well, it sounds like you’ve already decided!

It’s less than $10 to register a domain, so just do it and see how much you like writing for the second Blog. You won’t know until you try. Remember, the posting frequency on your different Blogs can vary. For example, you might want to write once a day for your main Blog, but only once a week for your secondary, or whatever you have time for.

I think it’s better to just do it and see how it goes, than to sit there thinking about it all the time. Darren Rowse is a super successful Blogger and he runs multiple Blogs. His book might be a good place to start if you haven’t read it already.

Hi Paul,

Great post! I have been thinking hard about creating a second blog. My main concern is that it will take away from my main blog. Any other suggestions you might have on deciding to start more than one blog.
