Inspired Affiliate vs Richard Bonner – Day 10 Update

Written by Paul Piotrowski - Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

Just a quick update again on the competition.  My last update showed that Bonner was beating me by a factor of 10.  Meaning, I was at $71 in revenues and he was at $744 in revenues.  That’s more than 10 times my revenue amount.

I suspect he probably cheated at the get-go by setting up some PayDay loan offer and hitting up his sister, mom and grandma to get PayDay loans so he could win.  Whatever he did to pull off that miracle $744 in the first few days, he’s slowing down.

I still haven’t caught up to him yet, but here are the stats as of this minute:

Inspired Affiliate
Target Revenue: $5,000
Currently At: $340.35
Updated: 09/10/2008

Richard Bonner
Target Revenue: $4,000
Currently At: $1,217.00
Updated: 09/10/2008

As you can see, I’m still trailing but he’s no longer at more than 10 times my earnings.  In fact, he’s only at about 3.5 times my earnings now.  I have no doubt I can catch him, the only question is if I can do it before the September 30th cutoff, especially since I’ll be away for Blog World Expo for 6 days starting mid next week.

Today I spent my evening designing my business cards (I need them for Blog World Expo), and I still have to find enough time to pack before my trip.  Lack of time is my biggest disadvantage right now, but I’m definitely planning on giving Bonner a run for his money.

Speaking of which I totally forgot to announce what the prizes are going to be for the competition.  To keep things simple and to allow anyone in the world to participate, I’ve decided that if when I win the competition the prizes I’ll be drawing random names for will be cold hard cash .  Here are the prizes:

1st Place: $100 Cash
2nd Place: $50 Cash
3rd Place: $25 Cash

To participate, all you have to do is subscribe to the Inspired Affiliate newsletter by filling out your name and email below.  I will be sending the cash via Paypal, so you must have a valid Paypal account to claim your prize.

Remember, in order to win a prize, firstly I have to win the competition and then I will draw three names from the pool of people that signed up for the contest. Right now that number is really low, so your chances of winning are really high.

I think your readers are telling you something, I have loads of people in my list :p Only kidding :)

Regarding the pay day trick – I didn’t think of that one, cheers. My earnings might jump up over the next few days because I’m ‘testing’ some new stuff.

I do actually believe this is anyones competition still, like you found out it takes one campaign to take me from being x10 to x3.5 of your earnings. I don’t have a great deal of time at the moment like yourself but I should really use the blog expo to my advantage and get cracking on.

I still have a few things up my sleeve to guarantee that I get my goal of $4,000 in revenue this month and more importantly win this competition.
