Google AdWords New Account Issues
Because I want to keep everything for my new company (Ignite Vision Marketing Inc.) separate from my InspiredMoneyMaker.com stuff, I went ahead and setup a new Google AdWords account. I was using my old account to test my campaigns so far but today I decided to move everything over to my new Adwords Account.
I can’t be certain of this, but I have this feeling that Google puts you in a sandbox when you setup a new account. I think I’m getting less clicks and impressions and my campaigns are generally taking longer to launch on my new account, which kind of sucks.
Maybe Google has some kind of 90 day rule where new accounts have to prove themselves for the first 90 days or something? Or perhaps it’s a dollar figure? My old account I’ve had with Google for years and I’ve spent thousands of dollars with them, so I think maybe it had better privileges than this new account.
Anyways, just wanted to mention this because I’ve noticed that things are much slower under my new account compared to my old one. Hopefully things will pick up over the next few days. I need to catch up to Bonner!
If you’re thinking about getting into PPC Affiliate Marketing, you might want to think about setting up an AdWords account right away. This way, if they do have some kind of “sandbox” for 90 days, by the time you’re ready to go, the account will be ready. Unless of course they require you to spend a certain amount of money to get out of the “sandbox” in which case it might not help. However it doesn’t cost anything to setup an account, so why not get one just in case.
There is also the possibility that there is no sandbox, and it’s just my imagination thinking that everything is moving slower on the new account? It is the weekend, and maybe I’m just not used to seeing “weekend traffic”.

I’ve heard from a few sources that Google does look upon the history of your account and of course the more you spend with them and the better your campaigns have performed in the past typically the better your campaigns will do.
So yeah, you are in somewhat of a Sandbox.
I’ve heard the exact same things.. and it doesn’t surprise me either. I think I will take your advice Paul and set up an account now, because in a months time when I’m planning to do some experimenting maybe they’ll see that my account is x-amount of day old and they won’t shove my pockets full of sand.
Good advice. I’m not using PPC yet, but I will mess with it in the future and setting it up in advance may be the best way to go.
