How the Universe Speaks to Us

Since I’ve been writing quite a bit about the Law of Attraction lately, and a lot of people are applying the principles taught by Law of Attraction teachers, I wanted to address the topic of tuning in and listening to the Universe.

This is a subtle, but important distinction that many people miss.  “The Universe” or whatever name you use to call “Source / God / All etc” is always speaking to us.  We are never seperate from it, it is always a part of us.  A lot of times when we begin to activate the Law of Attraction in our lives we will all of a sudden start meeting people by strange co-incidence, we’ll start getting intuitive ideas and things will start to align themselves to bring us what we are asking for.

However, a lot of times we miss out on a lot of “communication” from the Universe because we ignore the most basic things that are already in our lives, or because we consider some things as “communications” from the Universe while others we consider just “normal things”.

For example, as many of you know a few weeks ago I ordered Traffic Secrets 2.0.  I’ve been waiting for it to arrive.  In the meantime, last week I sat down and I set some new intentions for my life, my Blog, my income etc.  Once I set the intentions, I began to keep an eye out for “synchronistic” events that show me that I’m being guided in the right direction.  Then, Traffic Secrets 2.0 arrives.

Now, at first one might think that this course has nothing to do with my new intentions to make more money from my Blog, because I ordered the course BEFORE I set the intention.  Making that assumption would be a mistake.  You see, when we ask the Universe to connect us to resources or people to make something happen, it doesn’t just mean NEW resources and NEW people.  Sometimes the very thing we need to move to the next step is right under our noses.

For example, there might be an article on this Blog that I wrote 4 months ago that could completely change your life.  Just because you set an intention today or yesterday, doesn’t mean that “The Universe” didn’t already prepare the resource for you 4 months ago.  I know that sounds weird because we’re all caught up in the illusion that time is linear and stuff like that, but realize that if there is a “Universe / God” type thing out there that you believe in, then surely it is beyond time.

So, when my Traffic Secrets 2.0 came in yesterday and I start to find answers to questions I had which I know will lead me to fulfill the intentions I set AFTER I already ordered TS2.0, I wasn’t at all surprised.  The Universe will find the simplest ways to communicate with us.  Sometimes it will be by something someone says, like a total stranger, while other times it will be something we read in a book that’s been on our shelf for over a year.  Other times we’ll hear something on the radio that catches our attention, and other times yet the “communication” will be so blatantly obvious that it literally smacks us between the eyes in the forehead.

When you ask for guidance, it will be brought to you.  Just don’t expect an Angel with wings and a harp to fly down from the sky and tell you the latest StumbleUpon secrets to get more visitors to your Blog.  The “Angel” might instead cleverly disguise itself as a course you have to work through from a guy like John Reese.

Let me be clear that I’m not saying TS2.0 is the answer for everyone, I’m just using it as an example.  For you it might be a book that falls off the shelf at a book store, a person you meet, something your best friend says to you out of the blue or just a gut feeling you get or an idea that pops into your life.  Pay attention.  Don’t dismiss “communications” from the Universe just because they didn’t arrive by some divine method.

I’ll finish with this.  I was once standing outside with a friend and we were talking about something and he wasn’t sure what he should do with a particular situation in his life.  Just as he asked the question, he turned his head and there was a sign about 5 blocks away on a large building that has a small Church attached to it and there are always these inspirational passages on a sign attached to the building.  I forget exactly what the sign said but it was something like “Yes, today is the day to make your move.” or something like that which exactly answered the question he was asking.  He told me that sign always answers his questions.

Pay attention.  Your questions are being answered.  You just need to be present enough to notice.
