@Lucy Lopez: One of my primary goals with this Blog is teach people that have tremendous value to offer the world not to be afraid of the words “money”, “make money”, “millionaire”, “financially independent”, “financially abundant” etc.

It is precisely this limiting belief that “money is a dirty word” in all its different connotations that keeps us “starving”, living month-to-month when in fact we’re blessed with gifts that should be allowing us to live a life of complete financial abundance.

Imagine it being like Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky and Tiger Woods working at a McDonalds because someone told them that “money is the root of all evil” and they believe it so instead of pursuing their true passion they decided to “work hard” for a living.

What a waste that would have been, right? The scary thing is that we can only see that analogy because we’ve seen these individuals express their full potential. How many other Michael Jordan’s are working at McDonalds right now?

If we were permitted to see a glimpse of our true potential, and then compared it to what we’re doing right now, we’d all fall on the floor in a pool of tears.

Hi Paul, this is the second time I am reading this article. It is so good to read of your practices and the outcomes of your practices particularly because I share many of the beliefs/values that inform and guide them. Also, it is something I aspire to – making money doing what I love doing by providing something of true value to others.

Actually, I wonder if ‘making money’ is really the most accurate description of what I (and I believe most people) truly desire – wonderful experiences, stability and comfort. “Making money’ seems to be an abbreviation for all that and not a particularly good one either because of all the confusing and conflicting connotations associated with it….Lucy

Hi Paul,
I found your blog through entrecard, because you ask for advertising on mine, and I have got to say, I am really happy for finding your quality blog.

This posts backs up all you are already writing in your blog, quality is always better and I find it great to see somebody is actually calling out all those crapy products around, building nothing but airbubbles.

I hardly read any blogs these days anymore because I wanted to become more productive, but you had me stuck to the screen, reading several posts yesterday and I´m sure to come back again,

Without value you have nothing. Not only in business, but in life as well. If you are unable to create value in your life – whether it is the content you create for your magazine, or the blog posts you plaster up on the interweb – you will definitely be chasing your tail for many many moons…

Hi Paul,

I remember you well from Steve’s forum.

I enjoyed your embellishments on those scads of scam ads we see far too much of. Those ads are so cheesy they are entertaining, but sadly many people spend dollars and time trying to make them work. If they stopped to think that it isn’t the “system” that will work. It is “they” that will have to work to fill that empty box. Then they will have a business. And not just a business, but something they can be proud of. That is so important.

Paul this is SO FUNNY! It’s made my day! But it’s not just funny, it’s SO RIGHT! This society we live in is just eating itself. There is so much hype I do worry that it blinds people to the real value. How does real value stand out? How does it compete with the amazing hollow promises, when thats what they’re looking for? Guess there is no straight answer to that.

I agree that your primary focus must be creating value for other people. Most of the internet marketing systems out there show you how to promote your value and many are effective at it. But without the first piece of the puzzle, there is no money to be made because there is no value being delivered. Good post Paul.
