More important than the question of whether I want to make money from my blog is this question that has been haunting me...How do I REALLY want to spend my life? Depending on the answer, it might obviate the need for the first question!

Do I really want to blog? If money wasn't a concern, would I be interested in blogging? Even though I love blogging, is this how I want to keep using the hours in my days? I wish the answer was a resounding YES but it isn't.

So what does produce a resounding Yes? Nothing yet :-) Which leaves me to think that for now, this is great and I'll keep enjoying it. And while I do, yes, I do want to make money from it.

So my blog is www.lucylopez.net/planethappiness. It's tagline: Personal and Spiritual Growth for the Awakening Mind. I want to encourage people to recognize and experience the true cause of happiness, which is 'uncaused'. It is what we naturally are.

I do this through posts that explore life experiences, dilemmas from an understanding and experience of the nature of mind, its habits, its states of consciousness. It is about encouraging people to be truly aware.

Hope I haven't gone too far afield for you but yes, I would appreciate any help I can get wrt helping me monetize. I seem to get a fair few visitors (but are they only Entrecard droppers who really don't spend time reading?). And I would especially love people to comment...I wonder why they don't???

Thanks so much for the offer. Whoever ends up getting it, I really hope it helps you towards your financial goals! Warm wishes everyone! Lucy

Even though I've already selected Simon Stapleton as the Blog Review, feel free to keep them coming guys. I will think about how else I can help the rest of you, and of course there is probably a lot that can be learned from the Simon Stapleton review as well that applies to many of you.

The title of my blog says it all - Champagne Travel on a Beer Budget. It is about travelling & living with style even if you're on a budget. I am aim to provide inspiration & tips for becoming a savvy traveler.
The blog has been running for about 12 months, has a decent little readership but isn't really making money yet. I am keen for this to change so that I can fund more travels and have more time to dedicate to the blog.
I would love a review of my blog so I can have an outside perspective on what I could do to reach my goals.
Thanks!

Thanks for this opportunity, Ace!
The Virtual Tea House is a social/spiritual networking site. Multi-bloggers write about how they are engaging the spirituality of everyday life. Site also has forums and a place for anyone to submit life-stories, but those have not been used much.

I enjoy the writing on my blog for the site a lot, and helping other people begin to blog (I would love to be a blog-incubator). I don't really want to put ads on the site--but I would like to begin to figure out how to have the site bring in some money. Maybe those 2 things are incompatible, but I think there's something that I'm overlooking...that the site can make some money and I don't have to run a lot of ads!

Any help you could be would be greatly appreciated.

My blog has been up for about a month: thebonbonlife.com

The purpose is to help inspire others to break away from the 9-5 grind and start their own biz. I hope to start some lively dialogue about escaping corporate life--especially among my age group (gen y/quarterlifers/whatever).

I'm especially interested in how the evolution of the internet is shifting how we think about work.

If I had to label it, I'd say my my blog is about personal development and entrepreneurship. I am using it as a way to launch a new business for myself as well. I'd say one of the bigger challenges is keeping the theme somewhat cohesive and understanding who and how I can help through it.

Hi Paul
My Blog is http://www.protycoon.com

I teach people about how they can make the most from their blog, how to be different and how to drive traffic to their blog, the good way not using black hat tactics.

I encourage my readers to make money doing something they enjoy, blogging can be done by anyone but sometimes people need a little guidance, that is where I come in.

Would really value a free review!

Many Thanks

p.s - Love the blog design and the logo, good job

That's very nice of Ace to let the review pass to someone who can really use it!

My blog's tagline is "Stop Sucking and Live a Life of Abundance," and Randy Pausch mentioned it on page 184 of his book "The Last Lecture:"

“A former student emailed to say I had helped inspire him to create a new personal-development Web site titled ‘Stop Sucking and Live a Life of Abundance,’ designed to help people who are living far below their potential. That sounded sort of like my philosophy, though certainly not my exact words.”

I've always thought that I was supposed to do my own thing, achieving financial independence outside the corporate world. Freedom is just about the most important thing to me, and it's not compatible with any job. I knew what I wanted, but I didn't know how to achieve it.

I learned about blogging in April 2007, and thought it sounded like a great thing. I could see myself running a blog about cars or investing or photography or something like that, and making money doing something that was fun. The only problem was that I didn't care enough about those topics to put forth the sustained level of effort required to run a successful blog. So that idea was on hold.

In November 2007 I stumbled onto a blog that let me realize how I could make a difference in the blogosphere. And I know it's become a cliche to say this, but yes, Steve Pavlina is the one who inspired me to blog about personal development.

It just sort of clicked one day, when I realized that I had plenty of things to say that were not just rehashed from other sites. I realized that some of the posts I wrote were bound to make a difference for some people. And if I could help others, whether by informing, motivating, persuading, entertaining, etc., it made sense that I could make money by doing this.

My biggest problem has always been making time to do everything. Just writing posts is pretty time consuming, plus responding to emails and comments, and writing ebooks (I keep coming up with new ebook ideas when I never seem to be able to finish the one I'm working on).

And the most time consuming task of all for me is promotion. I spend far more time reading and commenting on other blogs than I do working on my own. I like doing it, but it certainly has a price. I wish I could focus more on content creation and less on promoting, but unfortunately, traffic won't just come to us; we have to go out and get it.

Oh man this could be Mana from Heaven! My blog URL is http://www.simonstapleton.com and it's purpose is to help technical professionals develop themselves and their careers by sharing my own experiences, those of others, and what technical industries are moving towards. I am genuinely passionate about this subject. I would like to leave 'work' and follow this passion as it would give me self-fulfilment and give me time to spend with my wife and son - something I now truly understand as important having had testicular cancer earlier this year.

I've been running this for over a year now and my biggest frustration is having only a few RSS subscribers and visitors despite how much effort I plough in - but the frustration is kept at bay by my passion, and belief in Exponental Growth! My other problem is my blog theme which I am working on now.

I am so excited about blogging now that if you don't pick me then I won't be blown off course, so good luck in finding the most worthy cause Paul!

Hi Paul,

Here is my Site http://www.weightlossweapons.com/blog Where I try to motivate and share my advice with others on losing weight without the expensive pills and programs. I've lost close to 40lbs and I'm improving my health everyday.

I've been running the blog since the end of Sept.07. The blog is part of the main site http://weightlossweapons.com where I offer the basics of losing weight.

I really enjoy the topics that I blog about and the content isn't hard to come up with. My 2 biggest problems are:

1. find the time to post (you will notice the posts are sporadic, but I am committing to new posts every Monday).

2. Since I promote healthy weight loss without using pills and expensive programs, monetization is a problem. Adsense has had a low CTR for the blog (especially compared to the main site) and my current affiliate programs are under performing as well.

Traffic is decent 60-75 uniques a day (on non stumble days), I would really appreciate any advice you could offer on improving my sites money making ability so that I can run it full-time eventually.

Thanks Ace for passing on this opportunity.
