Make Money. Do What You Love. Feel Great.

A Crazy Blog Contest With a Big Twist

Written by Paul Piotrowski - Thursday, May 15th, 2008

A couple of days ago I wrote a post about how I Get Books For Free which talked about a new book that just came out called “How Would Love Respond?” and how I received a free review copy from their publisher.

For quite a while now I’ve been thinking about doing a Blog contest but I wasn’t sure what to give away in the contest and I was also trying to think of a unique twist to the contest as well to separate it from the other contests out there. I spoke to their publisher of “How Would Love Respond?” again asking if they would be so kind to send another copy of the book which I could give away in a contest on my Blog and they agreed to send another copy.

So, I’m running a Blog Contest with a BIG TWIST.

First, let’s talk about the prizes package up for grabs if you win the contest. Here’s what you’ll get:

(1) Your own copy of Kurek Ashley’s book “How Would Love Respond?”. The book is getting great reviews at Amazon and here’s what a few well known authors and athletes have said about the book:

How Would Love Respond

“Kurek is a true embodiment of the word outstanding.” Tony Robbins

“Addresses how to deal with fear, doubt, self-esteem and anything else that stands in your way to achieve everything you have ever dreamed of.”Natalie Cook, Olympic gold medalist

“You can never be too kind or too fair. This warm, inspiring book shows you how to practice love in every experience to achieve real peace and ultimate joy.”Brian Tracy, Brian Tracy International, speaker, author, and consultant on sales and entrepreneurship

(2) A copy of another great book called “The Tipping Point” which could be just the thing you need to help you make money doing what you love.

It’s an older book, but the information in it is priceless.

“…a fascinating account…valuable…” – Chicago Tribune

“Anyone interested in fads should read THE TIPPING POINT…” – US Magazine

“…a terrifically rewarding read…” – US Magazine

(3) A $40 Amazon Gift Card so you can buy yourself a third book of your choice!

(4) A Blog Review from InspiredMoneyMaker.com worth $50. I will write a 500-1000 word review of your Blog, including suggestions on how I think you can improve your Blog. This will not only help you by improving your Blog, it will also increase the exposure of your Blog.

(5) The Big Twist.

Ok, here’s the Big Twist which makes this contest completely unique. No other Blog contest in the milky way galaxy ( that I am aware of ) is offering this!

By entering into this contest, EVEN IF YOU DON’T WIN THIS TIME, you are going to receive an automatic entry into the next 5 CONTESTS! Yup, you heard me right. This one entry into this contest enters you into the next 5 contests (or until you win).

So even if you don’t win, you could get an email from me at some time in the future saying you won a contest you may not have even entered, and the prizes for that contest might even be bigger!

What’s even cooler is that when the next contest comes out, you can also submit an entry for that contest and then you’ll have TWO ENTRIES! This will give you DOUBLE the chances to win in the next contest if you don’t win this time. If you don’t win that time, and you do another entry for the third contest you can get THREE ENTRIES for that contest etc.

So, when I end up running the FIFTH CONTEST and you enter all five of the contests you will have a FIVE TIMES greater chance of winning compared to everyone else who doesn’t participate now. Isn’t that crazy?

Keep in mind that as this Blog grows in income the prize values will increase as well, so this is your chance to lock in multiple entries for future contests and increase your chances for future wins.

Entry Rules

Ok, so what do you need to do to enter the contest?

Well, you have to do two things.

(1) Write a blog post on your Blog and include the following text:

Paul Piotrowski at InspiredMoneyMaker.com is running A Crazy Blog Contest With a Big Twist and prizes worth well over $100. His Blog teaches people how to make money doing what you love and he’s come up with a really neat contest idea that takes cares of all the people who enter even if they don’t win this time.

There are also Knock-Knock Jokes!

HTML VERSION READY TO PASTE INTO YOUR BLOG:

Paul Piotrowski at <a href="http://www.InspiredMoneyMaker.com">InspiredMoneyMaker.com</a> is running <a href="http://www.inspiredmoneymaker.com/2008/05/15/a-crazy-blog-contest-with-a-big-twist/">A Crazy Blog Contest With a Big Twist</a> and prizes worth well over $100. There are also Knock-Knock Jokes!

Of course you can write whatever you want before and after the text above, but you must at least include the links above with the anchor text as shown above to qualify for an entry.

The entry must be its own post, not part of another post.

(2) Reply to this post with a comment linking back to your contest entry, and also tell me your favorite Knock-Knock Joke. If you don’t know any good Knock-Knock Jokes, find one on the Internet. Let’s keep them somewhat clean though. Oh, you can’t use a Knock-Knock Joke someone else already typed in.

That’s it, that’s all. It will only take you a few minutes to participate and to lock in your entry for this contest and five future ones as well, so go run and get that post in right away! :)

Have fun guys!

Other Terms:

Hi Paul! Any luck with this contest so far? I thought the idea was brilliant. I hope you don’t mind if I use a similar version of the idea for my own contest, when the time comes. Just have to find something to give away first. :) Anyway, good luck!

  3. @Sindre: Go right ahead. Why not talk about my contest on your Blog first to get yourself entered in for my contest (and 4 more after that) and then run your own Crazy Blog Contest right after. :)

Maybe if you win here you can give away what you won!

BTW, here’s a knock-knock joke to get them started:

Knock Knock. Who’s there? Candice. Candice who? Candice get any better!?

Did I mention that making money doing what you love requires a sense of humor?

  4. SindreNo Gravatar says:

@Paul: Hehe, that reminds me of the Bart Simpson crank calls to Moe, asking for “Ivana Tinkle” or “Amanda Hughandkiss” :D

I really would have participated if I had an English blog, Paul! My blog is only for a quite small, Norwegian audience, and I feel that posting your qoute there, would be a little “off track”. So maybe next time (I’m thinking about starting a blog in English).

However, being a blogger myself, I know how good it feels when people actually respond in a positive way, so I encourage everyone with an English blog to participate in this contest. I know I would have! :)

What a great contest! My post is at http://writer-support.blogspot.com/2008/05/reactivating-blog-and-contest.html – I have another blog at heatherwardell.blogspot.com but as I’m preparing to find a literary agent I can’t put “other stuff” like this there at the moment. :)

    And my joke:
    Knock Knock
    Who’s there?
    Amos
    Amos who?
A mosquito. Bite Bite (pinch the other person twice)!

Lame, and yet strangely hilarious. :)

My favorite knock knock joke is actually a pair of jokes. Heather told one of them (slightly different), but there’s also a follow up.

    Knock knock.

    Who’s there?

    Amos.

    Amos who?

    Amosquito bit me.

    Knock knock.

    Who’s there?

    Andy.

    Andy who?

    Andy bit me again.

    Here’s my joke:

    Knock-knock.

    Who’s there.

    Diesel.

    Diesel who?

Diesel make you laugh if you’re not too smart.

    ************

Btw, for the twist part, could one person win multiple times?
    Cool contest! Loving it! :)
    Thanks!

  10. @Bunny: If you win, you can still win later but the winning entry gets discarded. So, meaning if you participate all 5 times and the first time you win, by the 5th contest, you’ll have 4 entries (1st one being a winner), while others who participated all 5 times without winning will have 5 entries.
