How to Make Money Doing What You Love – Your First Dollar
“I now make money by doing what I love.”
I want you to read that statement to yourself right now. Is that a true statement for you? Do you now make money by doing what you love? Notice I’m not asking if you’re making a living by doing what you love, or if you’re making a pile of money by doing what you love. All I’m asking is “Are you now making money by doing what you love?” Meaning, in the last 24 hours, have you made some amount of money by doing what you love? What about in the last 7 days? 30 days? Ever?
If you’re not making money by doing what you love, why not?
Are you waiting until you have figured out the perfect plan to be able to quit your job and do what you love before you start?
If so, let me offer a suggestion for a goal you may want to set for yourself. It may be one of the most important goals you will EVER go after in your life. Are you ready?
Your goal is to find a way to make $1 by doing what you love.
There it is. That’s your goal. It’s not to make a million dollars, or to support your family, or to quit your job, or to change the world. Your first goal is very simply to make $1 by doing what you love.
Do you love singing? Go out and make a $1 singing. Stand on the corner of the street with a hat in the hand and sing if you have to. See what happens.
Would you like to make money online? Start a Blog right now and make your first $1 with it.
Do you love writing? Write a one-page report on something and sell it for a dollar to someone you know. Or sell it for 25 cents to 4 people, or a dime to 10.
The whole concept here is very simple. You want to learn how to make $1 as an Inspired Money Maker by doing what you love. That’s it, nothing more.
It’s a very simple exercise. If you’re serious about becoming an Inspired Money Maker, then take on this challenge and see just how quickly you can make a single buck by doing what you love. Then come back and report your success here. Let’s see how quickly you can do it.
Forget about setting things up properly. Forget about incorporating your future multi-billion empire. Forget about designing your logo or your business card. Forget about writing up a 200 page business plan. Forget all of those excuses and just go out there and make $1. That’s it! You can do it!

If you truly love what you do, making money with it will just make it more fun. If you’re really just doing it to make money though, not because you love it, I can see how after a while resentment might set in.
