Hi Paul, this is my first comment and first and foremost i must acknowledge i suffer dearly from limiting myself, most of the time i don't believe in myself and it has cost me dearly, Im here to learn and grow from that deficit. I will be here again, should i find time again.

@Tom Stine: Thanks Tom. I've never checked out the Byron Katie method. I'll look into it. Sedona I've heard of, but for some reason it didn't resonate with me at that time.

Nice. It reminds me of a mix of The Sedona Method and Byron Katie. Good processes to use.

If I may add just a step, it will be change your associations: This will prove to be a painful experience but the rewards are tremendous. I do not by any means suggest that you should change these association abruptly but it is important that you begin a process that will eliminate associations that instil the wrong belief tendencies that are not congruent with your anticipated reality.

Absolutely. In fact, one could say that ALL of our internal limitations originated from somewhere "out there". After all, we weren't born as babies with all these limiting beliefs. We had to learn them from someone.

The difference is though that if we take responsibility for our own minds, then we can realize that even if someone "out there" has limiting beliefs about us, it doesn't mean that we have to accept those limiting beliefs for ourselves.

For example, if we had a teacher in school that said "You'll never amount to anything." that's their opinion. If we choose to accept that opinion and allow it to limit us in life, that is OUR choice. IF we take responsibility for that belief though and choose to eliminate it from our conditioning then we CAN amount to something. The challenge is to realize that by default the world WILL condition us to be "normal" which is poor, broke and unhappy as you can see all around us. The trick is to go above that conditioning and to re-condition ourselves for success.

At least that's what I've found to be true in my life.

The end goal is to believe in your abilities, your talents and your ideas.

One thing that you need to be conscious of is to not let outsiders squash your belief in yourself.

In other words, there are not only internal limitations that we place on ourselves, but there are external limitations that we have to watch out for.
