How Come That Idiot’s Rich and I’m Not?

Yesterday I picked up a funny book called How Come That Idiot’s Rich And I’m Not? It’s written by a bestselling author I’ve never even heard of before; Robert Shemin. The back cover has praise from T. Harv Eker, Anthony Robbins and Mark Victor Hansen, which is enough praise for me to make it a worthwhile buy.

I haven’t finished reading the book yet, but so far I really like the style with which Robert wrote the book. It’s really in your face and to the point.

Have you ever noticed that there are people out there who are seemingly not as smart as you are, and in some cases they seem like total idiots, yet they are rich and you’re not? Have you ever met someone like this, or known of someone like this? Well, this book basically explains how there is a whole world of “Rich Idiots” out there and it makes a good case for why you might want to become a “Rich Idiot” too.

If I read this book 5 years ago, I probably wouldn’t have agreed with the message within, but my experience in the last 5 years has definitely opened my eyes to this line of thinking. Building wealth and being rich is not about being smart, intelligent, following all the rules, coloring within the lines and working hard. There is a whole world of “Rich Idiots” out there who have built fortunes, yet from the outside they look like total idiots. The reality is that they are actually geniuses at what they do, but from the outside people think they are idiots.

As I mentioned, I haven’t finished reading the book so I can’t give it a total review yet, but so far it’s really good. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who has ever felt frustrated about not being able to build their own wealth to the level they want, while noticing that there are people out there who are in the same business and are succeeding, but they seem like total idiots. This book might shed some light why they are getting the results you want.
